Department of Rehabilitation Medicine
The Department of Rehabilitation, formerly known as the Department of Physiotherapy, was established in December 1954. In 1993, it was renamed the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and carried out rehabilitation medical services. In 1998, there were 15 beds in the section, which expanded the scope of rehabilitation treatment. In 2009, the Department of Rehabilitation established a specialty of neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain, and officially established two sub-specialties for rehabilitation of nerve injury and rehabilitation of muscle and bone pain. In December 2016, the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine was relocated to the North Campus of the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University, with 50 expanded beds, which can provide rehabilitation services for more patients.
The rehabilitation of nerve injury is a sub-professional in the early stage of our department. It has formed a unique and parallel effective theory and practice system. In particular, in recent years, a considerable number of advanced equipment has been introduced, so that the therapeutic effect of nerve injury, please climb to a higher floor. The service scope of nerve injury rehabilitation mainly includes dysfunction caused by central injuries such as stroke, brain trauma and spinal cord injury. Through drug support, rehabilitation care, physical function training, language and dysphagia training, psychotherapy and other comprehensive treatments, patients can take care of themselves, return to the family, and return to society. In 2011, the Ministry of Health awarded our hospital to set up a base for the screening and prevention of stroke, in which stroke rehabilitation work is under the overall responsibility of our department.
The rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain is a newly established sub-professional in our department in 2009. Since its establishment, over 10,000 patients have been received every year, and more than 500 people have been hospitalized. On the basis of traditional treatment methods, it combines advanced foreign medical “medical exercise rehabilitation (MTT)”, “anatomical train (AT)”, “selective functional motion assessment (SFMA)”, and “motor myofascial integration technology (KMI)”,"Dynamic neuromuscular stabilization technology (DNS)" and other theoretical systems. And according to many years of clinical experience, we have developed "the whole neuromuscular diagnosis and treatment thinking". The whole idea of diagnosis and treatment starts with the clinical pain performance, further explores the dysfunction of the pain caused by the patient, first focuses on the pain problem, and then through rehabilitation training and other methods to solve the pain caused by the dysfunction. For example, patients with low back pain, most likely because of the patient's normal sitting posture caused by low back pain, in the use of traditional treatment of low back pain, through exercise training to improve the patient's sitting posture, both symptoms and symptoms, to eliminate the recurrence of the disease.
In addition to the above two sub-specialties, our department has also carried out a variety of physical factor treatments to help treat diseases. Physical factor therapy is a non-invasive treatment. It mainly including electrotherapy (low, medium and high frequency electrotherapy), phototherapy (infrared, ultraviolet), magnetic therapy, etc., have good curative effect on facial nerve palsy and various inflammations. In addition, our department also carried out psychological counseling and treatment, intervened in patients' anxiety and depression, promptly diverted patients' psychological barriers, truly humanized services, and embodied humanistic care and humanities medicine.
In 2016, our department established the Medical Sports Rehabilitation Research Laboratory and the Medical Sports Rehabilitation Collaborative Research Center to carry out various social work. It not only treats the existing diseases, but also exerts our business expertise. It conducts multiple functions screening for sub-health people and proposes corresponding prevention and treatment programs to contribute to the national “big health” strategy. On the basis of fulfilling the mission goal of “National Fitness”, we will actively plan cooperation with the State Sports General Administration and the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau to provide comprehensive rehabilitation guidance for active athletes. Not only to help them recover from injuries, but also to help them recover their competitive status, even through the adjustment of the athlete's body, it is more helpful to complete their corresponding technical actions. And it is possible to provide professional "competitive sports" services for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
In 2013, Hebei Medical University began preparations for the construction of “Rehabilitation Therapy”, and in 2014 recruited students from the *** session. Our department also served as the teaching class for the students in this class, including “Sports Therapy” and “Language”. Key courses such as Therapeutics and Physiotherapy. The whole department worked hard, from the formulation of the syllabus, to the selection of young teachers, to the actual teaching, all the work was carried out in an orderly manner and was well received by the school and students.
In 2017, our department established the ICB (International Biomechanics) Orthopedic Insole Evaluation and Production Center, focusing on the health of the soles. It provides an efficient and safe solution for patients with abnormal arch, lameness, poor posture and pain. The establishment of the center has realized a comprehensive solution to the pain of patients and is truly in line with international standards.
In addition, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei rehabilitation integrated development platform was established, in which my department served as the muscle and bone group teaching and training base. In the form of fixed-point institutions, hand-handling inherits first-class rehabilitation technology, and contributes to the formation of a three-level ladder support network in provinces, cities and counties, and contributes to the better development of rehabilitation medicine in Hebei Province.
