The Second Hospital of HUM’s Department of  Nuclear Medicine was built in 1960 .As one of the earliest Nuclear Medicine Unit ,our department is a comprehensive unit that integrated SPECT/h ,PET/CT imaging ,organ functional examination ,Radionuclide Therapy ,tumor marker testing and thyroid hormones testing .Now ,with the131 Therapy for hyperthyroidism and treatment of skin hemangioma as characteristics ,we provide the most comprehensive range of diagnosis ,treatment and inspection for diseases in Hebei Province .we also perform around 2000 cases of 131 Therapy for patient who gets hyperthyroidism annually ,and about 2400 people have a treatment of skin hemangioma each year .Now we provide patients with main services as follows :

The nuclear medicine department is one the influential unit of this specialty in Hebe i Province .Now , there are 6 medical staff possessing a senior professional title that including 2 chief physicians ,2 associate chief physicians ,1 co-chief nurse and 1 associate chief technician .Besides the successfully completion of medical work ,we also responsible for the mission of training appointments and scientific research .and work closely with the hospital to finish the standardized training for residents .We organize meetings on a regular basis to discuss the difficult images every Wednesday and Friday afternoon and hold a seminar every Thursday afternoon .In addition ,our department is equipped with Nuclear Cardiology Laboratory and Nuclear Oncology Laboratory ,thus ,we undertaking a number of scientific research projects that cooperating with the provincial bureau of Health Science and Technology ,and Office of Personnel Services .Until now ,we have cultivated more than 20 outstanding postgraduates and 6 students are expected to gain the Master’s degree .
