The Department of Hyperbaric Oxygen of the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University was established in October 1992. It has purchased a two-cabin, four-door YC3200-20VII oxygen chamber, which is pressurized with air and inhaled oxygen for medical use. From August 1992 to March 2003, the cabin was opened more than 15000 times, and more than two hundred thousand patients were treated. Among them, more than 2000 patients with various serious diseases were first-aid, and more than 100 kinds of diseases were treated. The treatment was effective or improved by more than 90%.In March 2003, due to the occupation of the hospital construction outpatient building, the hyperbaric oxygen chamber was phased out and rebuilt in August 2004, and the luxury large-scale three-door seven-door YC3200-22 Ⅶ oxygen cabin was introduced, installation and commissioning in 2005-2007, construction of the oxygen production station and so on. February 2008 officially began hyperbaric oxygen treatment, it has opened more than 6700 times, and more than 10,000 patients have been treated. In 2014, my department changed its name to Rehabilitation Medicine II, carried out hyperbaric oxygen therapy (toxic gas poisoning, sudden deafness, cerebrovascular disease, etc.). We also carry out early rehabilitation intervention for related diseases such as cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, brain trauma, brain tumor, spinal cord injury, fracture, joint replacement, peripheral nerve injury, encephalitis, cerebral resuscitation and so on. The clinical effect is remarkable for the patients with consciousness disorder to promote awakening.
In 2016, our department carried out comprehensive renovation and upgrade of hyperbaric oxygen chamber equipment, providing patients with a more spacious, bright and comfortable environment, and introducing a variety of advanced rehabilitation evaluation and treatment equipment. There were 3 staff members in the hyperbaric oxygen treatment room: 1 doctor and 2 nurses; 1 doctor and 1 technician in 1993-1996; 1 doctor and 2 nurses in 2005-2006; From 2008 to 2009, there were 1 retired physician and 1 nurse. During the period from 2003 to 2007, due to the oxygen cabin being under construction, the staff mainly took on the work of the hospital for fever diagnosis. In 2014, there were 4 new additions to the second section of Rehabilitation Medicine. There are 9 staff members, including 1 chief physician, 2 physicians, 1 supervisor nurse, 1 nurse and 4 technicians.
